Pat Fisher

I spent my youth making dolls clothes from the parachute silk, which my mother had acquired. I was unable to master the treadle sewing-machine, so all the stitching was done by hand.
I studied Art with Embroidery at college and I was taught how to sew many stitches.
When I finally had a daughter, my love of smocking came to the fore and joining the Embroiderers' Guild, encouraged me to continue to stitch.
