About Preston Threads
Preston Threads was established in 1989 by Preston post City and Guilds embroidery students and their retired tutor.
The composition of the group has changed over the years but they still meet regularly and work with a mentor, to develop as individuals, focusing on design in relation to textiles.
Their objective is to develop their skills in design, in the field of textile art and to ensure the progression and extension of the individual members skills.
They enjoy the challenge of focusing on themes for exhibitions, using personal approaches for the design and execution of their work.
